It is now four months since Morrisons bought the former Bishopbriggs High School site. Just this week we have heard that a meeting to discuss proposals has now been arranged with Morrisons, the Community Champions and the Council for 21st April. Whether the proposed boycott had any effect or Morrisons are just now fulfilling their Section 75 obligations, time will tell.
Dominic Notarangelo, chairman of the Champion’s Group is quoted in this week’s Bishopbriggs Herald, “We are pleased they have decided to open discussions with us, it is definitely a step in the right direction. The efforst of the community champions are starting to pay off. This will help us build the town centre the community needs and we are hoping it will be the first of many meetings.”
