New Planning laws called "Pre-Application Consultation" came into force in August 2009 and since the Bishopbriggs Town Centre application was submitted in May 2009 it means that Morrisons have no legal obligations to adhere to the 3 month community consultation period or hold a public meeting. At a recent meeting with the Planner responsible for the site, we were assured that the Council will push to get Morrisons to carry out this process anyway.

Nothing happening that we can report just now except that the council's Transport Planner is speaking to the developers transport consultant. The Council believe that Morrisons is still in discussions with adjacent neighbours to determine access options, mainly with Derwent and the Catholic Church?
